Week 1 Let Go
Holding on to the past can hold us back in so many ways, from self-destructing behaviors to anxiety, fear or anger.
On the other hand, letting go means letting in happiness, and is the key to your healing, growth and development throughout life. You create space for something new. When you release your past struggles, mistakes, setbacks and fears, you make room for something new to emerge.
The world is full of amazing and exciting opportunities waiting to be discovered and new experiences will be knocking at your door when you allow yourself to close the old one.You will be stronger. Letting go of your past struggles, old habits, people who aren’t serving your best interest, and anything else that’s holding you back, isn’t an easy task, because it requires to leave your comfort zone.
This is why many people simply choose to maintain the status quo. They keep coming up with excuses as to why they shouldn’t let go of their past YET, rather than embrace transformation and change.
But choosing to let go will make you stronger and more secure. It allows you to focus on what you need to do to live in the present moment and become who you really are. Each time a new challenge comes your way, you know how to overcome it allowing you take back charge of your goals and your life. You will experience a new sense of freedom.
Imagine walking through life with a heavy backpack full of rocks. All the painful experiences you’ve endured, mistakes you’ve made, and setback you’ve had to overcome are weighing you down, making you feel stuck, and holding you back from living your life.
Choosing to throw away and release each rock will allow you to experience a newfound sense of freedom that will carry over into every aspect of your life.You can appreciate yourself.
Your past has shaped you into the special and unique individual that you are today. Realizing this is a great first step to appreciating and embracing your own story. Nobody is perfect and we all carry a certain past with us.
When you forgive yourself and let go of everything that happened yesterday you create space in your heart for the beautiful things the world has to offer and you can use your energy to work on the goals and dreams that make you happy.
